Dr. Aparna Hegde is the Founder, Chairperson and Managing Trustee of ARMMAN. During her medical residency, Dr. Hegde witnessed closely how pervasive systemic problems let to preventable maternal and child mortality and morbidity. Unable to tolerate the status quo, she founded ARMMAN while completing her medical training in the US.
Dr. Hegde is an internationally renowned Urogynecologist. She is Associate Professor (Hon) of Urogynecology and is setting up the upcoming Department of Urogynecology at Cama Hospital, Grant Medical College, Mumbai, India’s first comprehensive Center of Excellence in the field. She is also the Founder and Director of the Center for Urogynecology and Pelvic Health, Delhi and Consultant Urogynecologist at Global Hospital, Surya Hospital and Women’s Hospital, Mumbai”
Professor and Associate Dean, Arts has over 30 years of experience in teaching and researching urban studies, housing, human and gender development, poverty and inequality and climate change. Darshini Mahadevia has done PhD from the Centre for Studies in Regional Development, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She is a member of the Editorial Board member of several journals and has been a visiting fellow at the University of California, Los Angeles, McGill University, Montreal and Tsinghua University, Beijing. She has been the Dean of, the Faculty of Planning, at CEPT University from December 2012 to April 2016. She also headed the Centre for Urban Equity (CUE), a Centre she had set up at CEPT University till recently. She has more than 120 publications as books, chapters in books and journal articles. She has managed more than 40 research projects. The main research interest is to look at urban development, policies and planning from the equity perspective, including gender equity. Has worked on urban planning for safe cities. Her current research is on climate change and public health in cities, safe and inclusive cities and inclusive urban housing.
A graduate from London School of Economics with a M.Sc. in Social Policy and Planning, Meenu is the Founding Member and Executive Director, AZAD FOUNDATION, a social enterprise that supports resource poor women to gain “Livelihoods with dignity”. She has a work experience of over 20 years as a grassroot worker, trainer, implementer and a leader. She has been involved in development initiatives as the Country Director in ActionAid Uganda (1998-2003). In India she has also led an innovative initiative of Aagaz Academy-Schools of Leadership for elected women panchayat leaders. She has also written and published many articles on women’s rights and has been the recipient of multiple awards including ‘International Inspiration’ Award by IBM iX ‘Everywoman in Travel’ award, 2018 and featured amongst the ‘Seven Women Changing the World for Good in 2019’.
Nicholas George is a technocrat and Entrepreneur. He has always led teams that have developed solutions at the cutting edge of technology, and is today involved in designing solutions involving mobile technologies and social media.
He is the promoter and CEO of Greenclouds which provides end-to-end technology solutions for schools. Nicholas has been a Senior Partner with People Facet. Earlier Nicholas was Sr VP at NIIT where he headed the technology and services division of NIITs Knowledge Solutions Business.

A former IAS officer, and career civil servant for 38 years, she has distinguished herself in several positions, including Delhi’s first woman Chief Secretary. Apart from 15 years with the Government of India, where she held positions in the Ministries of Defence, Power, and Health, she worked in different parts of the country with various State Governments. She was Secretary to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Chairman, the Public Grievances Commission, and Appellate Authority under the Delhi Right to Information Act
Srikanth is Chief Executive Officer of Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy, a Bengaluru, India-based non-profit working towards the mission of transforming the quality of life in India’s cities and towns. Srikanth joined Janaagraha in 2011 in the municipal finance program. Srikanth is a practitioner of city governance reforms and municipal finance reforms, particularly on the application of systems thinking to reform agendas in cities. He works closely with the senior leadership in central and state governments and constitutional bodies to shape and implement long-term reforms to municipal finance and city governance in India. He has been an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for over twenty years and prior to joining Janaagraha worked in banking and audit.
