Safetipin is a social enterprise working to make public spaces and cities safer and more inclusive with a focus on women. We use apps, big data and backend systems to collect data on the factors linked to urban safety and inclusion. Our data is used by individuals, city governments and other urban stakeholders to help design, build and manage cities to make them safer, inclusive and accessible to all.

About the role:

We are looking for a Product Manager  who is able to  take responsibility for developing and scaling a range of products that are needed for achieving the organisation goals. They will work closely with the project lead and technology team to define, build, launch and maintain the products – including its core logic, backend systems, and user experience. This is a role with end-to-end ownership, requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

In parallel, the role will also involve overseeing and strengthening existing Safetipin products and systems, ensuring stability, alignment and continuous improvement across the broader product ecosystem.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Own and drive end-to-end development and maintenance of existing and new products.
• Translate a problem statement into a clear product vision, structure and roadmap.
• Design and document product workflows and system architecture for backend development.
• Work with the tech team to build, test and deploy backend systems and integrations.
• Lead development of a user-facing platform/website, with clarity and strong user journeys.
• Establish and track key product metrics and performance indicators.
• Run feedback loops with users and stakeholders to improve and scale the product/s.
• Ensure alignment & integration with Safetipin’s broader data and technology ecosystem.
• Manage the lifecycle of Safetipin apps, ownership of the app development and releases.
• Oversee and support existing Safetipin products and systems, ensuring smooth functioning, issue resolutions and improvements.
• Identify opportunities to streamline, integrate or enhance current platforms in alignment with new product developments.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Product Management, Design, or related field.
• 4+ years of work experience in product management, with at least some experience in building products from scratch.
• Strong thinking ability in systems, workflows and product logic (not just features).
• Experience working across team on backend development and integrations.
• Solid understanding of UX principles and user journeys and ability to independently shape product experience.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and structured thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience in data-driven products, platforms or social impact tech in a plus.
• Based in Delhi NCR, preferably Gurgaon.
